Talent Match is a 5 year investment programme, working with 1000 long-term unemployed young adults (18-24) across Birmingham & Solihull. The programme is funded by the Big Lottery Fund and the local partnership is led by BVSC with Solihull SUSTAiN.
The main objectives of the programme are to of by May 2018 have 1000 young adults access Talent Match support with at least 50% entering the paid work experience option for at least 6 months. Furthermore, the programme is looking to implement additional initiatives each year that ultimately enable 70% of participants to gain improvements in skills, confidence, and self-perception as a result of involvement in paid work experience & complementary volunteering placements with local charities. These initiatives will be supported by enterprise mentors and business support leading to 100 learners becoming either self-employed or engaged in local enterprise & social enterprise.
Auctus Management Group, and its subsidiary businesses, have been working along side Talent Match to offer young people who have been unemployed for 12 months or longer the chance to get on board with our Training course that enables the learner to obtain the necessary skills and knowledge to gain their Personal Track Safety Certificate as well as their Small Tools, Fire Awareness and Asbestos Removal certificates and Industry Common Induction. These key competencies give the learner a grounding that sets them about with the rail industry and will enable them to become progress within the rail industry and become the next generation of industry leaders.
